Fresh Bloom Frock

The Fresh Bloom Frock was a spring dress pattern I had been eagerly anticipating from Blank Slate Patterns (affiliate link).

Melissa had been looking for one more look to complete her spring collection so she opened a linky to let her readers suggest a particular style.  This is her interpretation of the dress suggested by Frances Suzanne.

When I had the chance to test the pattern I was thrilled.  This was one of the easiest testing experiences.  Either it was chance, or Melly has really got the knack for releasing these patterns.

I love that little pop of green in the button tab on the collar. It looks so springy with the pink!

The bodice is fully lined, there are pockets, and of course that collar which is a great feature.

I was hoping this could be Bean's Easter dress, but it looks like it may be too chilly here still.

I guess that's why I made the "Every" Occasion Little Bow Pleat, hehe.

(I should mention that I have recently added an affiliate link for Blank Slate Patterns on my sidebar as well as in some of the links in this post, but I sewed using their patterns long before even considering it. These are just great patterns that I truly stand by and I am excited about being an affiliate.)
