Sew-a-bration of Womanhood Day 5

If you're looking for the giveaway and link-up parties for our Sew-a-bration of Womanhood you can find them here.

But first I need you to go over and visit Veronica from sewVery to see the great top she made for the series.  We gave all of the contributors a general questionnaire and here are a few of Veronica's responses:

General Age: early 40's
What was the biggest challenge with this project: My biggest challenge with this project was hemming.  Normally, I don't have any issues with hemming knit fabric, but I decided to try a tip I read recently that suggested using woolly nylon thread in the bobbin when hemming with a double needle.  With the woolly nylon in the bobbin, the upper thread tension seemed too tight and the threads would repeatedly break, skip, or cause the fabric to pucker.  After multiple attempts and adjustments, I gave up and used my regular thread in the bobbin and my single needle.

The top looks lovely, Veronica!  Click over to sewVery to see the full post.

We'll be posting about the giveaway and opening the linky later today so keep your eyes peeled for that post.  And don't forget to see who's up on the Shaffer Sisters' site today.  If you're curious to see who else will be contributing this month, here is the full lineup:
